I am an Oakville resident for more than two decades and purposefully relocated residence based on the livability of this municipality and its planning foresight. I am opposed to the applications filed by ClubLink Corporation for the redevelopment and consequent destruction of the currently zoned private open space.
The Provincial Policy Statement of 2005 outlined and directed the planning and development the Halton Region and Town of Oakville specific growth and land use targets for the orderly and consistent accommodation of population and economic extension. Both governmental levels applied these directives in creating their respective planning documents and livability plans. Not only are they both meeting the projected growth targets, but they are also accommodating the economic and population expansion with careful attention to all the factors in maintaining growth that is sustainable and livable.
