I am a proud Oakville resident for over 30 years raising my family and working as a real estate agent. I chose to reside in Oakville due to the balance between have had the good fortune of living in Oakville, a well-balanced, fiscally responsible community.
My submission to LPAT is prompted by my frustration that this matter has yet to be determined despite the unanimous decision by Oakville Town Council to deny Clublink’s application for rezoning and the application to demolish the course. For easier reference, I have included 7 sections linked to the issues.
As a Real Estate agent, I am all in favour of property owners maximizing the value of their investments, however, not when it contradicts public interest. We need to draw the line somewhere. Without some measure of order we are destined to chaos. Zoning supports planned growth based on best practices to ensure vibrant communities can continue to exist.
